What is America 250?
This year is the 250th Anniversary of the birth of our nation. All year long, Bernards Township will be celebrating this historic anniversary, focusing on the history of our area from the Revolutionary War through today.
The Library is a proud partner with Bernards Township’s America 250 Committee. The Committee’s primary goal is raising community awareness of the Township’s rich colonial and Revolutionary War history through planned events from local historical and cultural organizations, popular town-wide events like Charter Day, and new 250th-specific events. The Committee is comprised of local civic, residential, and school representatives, the Basking Ridge Business Alliance, and local historical organizations, including, among others, Farmstead Arts, The Ross Farm and The Historical Society of the Somerset Hills.
