Presenter: Dr. Michael Norris, former museum educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Declared at his death 'First in peace, first in war, and first in the hearts of his countrymen,"
George Washington was revered during his own lifetime.
Through works of art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum,
the Princeton University Art Museum and the Zimmerli Art Museum of Rutgers,
explore how his peers saw him and how his country remembered him.
