New Books for September

 Zelda the Varigoose by Sebastian Loth - Zelda the varigoose is a little goose with a big imagination.  Zelda imagines herself a several different animals, such as a goose snail, goosey bee and a goosephant.  

Apple by Nikki McClure - Simple, yet beautiful.  A little girl sneaks an apple, brings it to school, eats a bit and       leaves it in the grass, where it gets composted, then grows in springs.

Sky Color by Peter H. Reynolds - Marisol the artist is excited when her class is assigned to paint a mural for the library. She is tasked with painting the sky, but is not sure what to do when she can’t find blue paint. 

 Bear Has a Story to Tell by Philip C. Stead illustrated by Erin E. Stead - Here is another beautifully told and illustrated story by the award winning team behind A Sick Day for Amos McGee.

Leopard & Silkie by Brenda Peterson and photographs by Robin Lindsey - This is the true story of a boy who is a "seal sitter".  He belongs to a group that protects baby seals as they rest on the beach. Fascinating!
